Writing an essay to get into AP english, does this sound right?? please read this its short?
Literature is more than just words on paper. Anyone can simply write a few letters to form words onto paper, but what really makes literature, literature, (okay or not?) is the connection. This connection is the feeling you get when you read a piece of writing.. Most novels give accurate descriptions of everything, and I mean everything. From the way the clouds are arranged in a clear unceasing blue sky, to the intricate pattern of the lines on the wood in a mahogany desk. These descriptions are what I believe make or break a piece of literature. Descriptions put you in the story, as your reading it you can see, hear, taste, and feel the parts of the story. If you read a story, and there are no events that fill you with feelings of anxiousness, or happiness, or any other emotion, then I would not consider that to be literature. You have to feel a connection, you have to be able to befriend the characters and see the world that the Author has portrayed in their writing.
nice essay kid! but your double use of the word literature – although not wrong – can be changed to sound better. I suggest: but what transforms these mere words into great literature is the connection.
